Taxis: There are many taxis and the fares are good, so if you're stuck, hail a cab to take you to your destination.
When To Visit: The winters are cold and have short
days but are very romantic as there is a snow cover during most of
wintertime. The summers are warm to hot, and the springs are nicely
mild. Bring your umbrella or a light raincoat just in case. See http://www.ilm.ee/~data/include/ilm-eng.php3 for current weather!
Food: In addition to varieties of smoked fish,
traditional Estonian food includes black bread, pork, roast potatoes,
black pudding, kama (a special mix of different corns) and many more.
Flights: Direct flights are operated both by
Estonian Air (from London Gatwick) and Easyjet (London Stansted) and
can be easily booked online starting from less than £100 for a return
flight. You can also fly indirectly with Air Baltic, SAS and Czech
Airlines.
Useful phrases:
Tipping: Standard tipping of 10% is acceptable for all services, unless the service is already included in the bill.
